Audio-Visual materials

Training methods are evolving over the years and the classical classroom training could be complemented by the use of audio-visual training materials. They can be used during face-to-face training, but also as a self-learning tool. Audio-visual training materials have the advantage that the information given is consistent, any section can be repeated at any time and procedures are easier to understand when they are demonstrated.

Training DVD’s were developed in collaboration with WHO and MoH in the respective countries to assist with training on new vaccine introduction. The target audience for the DVD are the vaccinators, i.e. healthcare workers giving the vaccines, as well as the immunisation staff at district and national level (i.e. supervisors of the healthcare workers).
